I think sea themes lend of themselves really well to adding lots of texture. This sentiment is one I'm sure I've seen in a Simon says stamp product, but for the life of me I can't find it now so I had to settle for handwriting. If anyone knows where you can still get this sentiment as a stamp I'd love to hear from you!</p><p> I started with grit paste in the background and added layers of oxide and distress inks. Next I added scraps of tissue paper which I printed with a seaside stamp.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEg2gjvlXXcDMyt7x75CO3jnJ6UphX21U_f15mb-uDDOfsHOT9o-7dCESDCMyf86hXdhEUpicvLBS10A7lBewEyrCbv77MNLlOzTSc45EUhXleZHf685q3ocfi5evNmO4CNMBmftds7AXk/s2048/IMG20210221231701.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEg2gjvlXXcDMyt7x75CO3jnJ6UphX21U_f15mb-uDDOfsHOT9o-7dCESDCMyf86hXdhEUpicvLBS10A7lBewEyrCbv77MNLlOzTSc45EUhXleZHf685q3ocfi5evNmO4CNMBmftds7AXk/w300-h400/IMG20210221231701.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>I added more stamping in the background before layering up some dies.<div><br /></div><div>The white bubble die has been pasted with crackle glaze and fresco white paint. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR_emrplYMNlO1OXeOCIRBB7hIt047DhUiMiSj2TZ324wDf4VnFpldMjZRPrkXsGH8Y4svQDiwQVr34WhFMmID4IQQujaUQgOnM0PMI-uyW3uA6adV_dxwHhVOvEPN6BHWA_kbi9FsiCNC/s2048/IMG20210221231903.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR_emrplYMNlO1OXeOCIRBB7hIt047DhUiMiSj2TZ324wDf4VnFpldMjZRPrkXsGH8Y4svQDiwQVr34WhFMmID4IQQujaUQgOnM0PMI-uyW3uA6adV_dxwHhVOvEPN6BHWA_kbi9FsiCNC/s320/IMG20210221231903.jpg" /></a></div>I added more texture with bits of twine more layering of die cut shapes and some microbeads.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiju3vswDAWrtF30cVg3cFi5pgsVTVbTRvcjOPH8C2AhixKAWpKv7gRf9Q29cDv3AktjUmswUxFlDhvU2SygwgIueNnEqMNQoF-30FLUvMXfPQLvawVZYdrDlp-syQsgzodSp88weXYGt7/s2048/IMG20210221231847.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiju3vswDAWrtF30cVg3cFi5pgsVTVbTRvcjOPH8C2AhixKAWpKv7gRf9Q29cDv3AktjUmswUxFlDhvU2SygwgIueNnEqMNQoF-30FLUvMXfPQLvawVZYdrDlp-syQsgzodSp88weXYGt7/s320/IMG20210221231847.jpg" /></a></div>The anchor is made using one of my favourite techniques, pressing the dye into clear embossing ink and embossing with a distress powder.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7ytEuitu539A3tlCd8SWBaPeGLpl2pgSeGrtbfSBV4T6pohZ0tmXz32VMKwJLXSzpgVGw4jGZ-eUSSgzMl7FGGiq4mpZ0kW4Jd3cuPFIOI8kPZtq3pw4DOKbNpEcDGY4ZTSDckOu7lNf-/s2048/IMG20210221231822.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7ytEuitu539A3tlCd8SWBaPeGLpl2pgSeGrtbfSBV4T6pohZ0tmXz32VMKwJLXSzpgVGw4jGZ-eUSSgzMl7FGGiq4mpZ0kW4Jd3cuPFIOI8kPZtq3pw4DOKbNpEcDGY4ZTSDckOu7lNf-/s320/IMG20210221231822.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Lots of people are going through stormy times right now so I thought this card would be a good one to have to hand and to encourage someone. </div><br /><p></p></div>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05864008290732314893noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7095469492803503478.post-8821975571058197212021-02-15T03:02:00.000-08:002021-02-15T03:02:04.456-08:00Let's resist again<p> This card is very similar to one I posted back in January, but with the subtle (and yet important) difference of the resist technique in use. </p><p>When I think of a resist I tend to think of applying it to the card first and then working over the top of it. In this instance the main image has been stamped and worked on using repeat stamping with a press. Once finished, with the stamp still in place on the press I cleaned it and stamped one more time with clear ink and then embossed it in clear powder. I also learnt a new-to-me technique of using my stamp press to build up layers of colour and spritzing the stamp with water between impressions to help blend the colours. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The sentiment is also new (a cheeky January sale purchase from hobby art). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you like the finished result, I've had so much fun creating different variations on this card for the last couple of weeks. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'd like to enter the following challenges;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/">Sss Wednesday - layer it up</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2021/01/pbsc-january-anything-goes-optional.html?m=1">Penny black Saturday challenge - AG/Something new</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2021/01/january-favourite-stamps.html?m=1">Stamping sensations - favourite stamp</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05864008290732314893noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7095469492803503478.post-68392688101211072892021-01-02T14:20:00.000-08:002021-01-02T14:20:15.588-08:00Happy New Year!<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNWBPhhAZFHzI6iypsZf6h3e6X7gG3xaTWJI0fy03vZS3bQNrLvGFhUDj9hi7xeINXg-6Kk1M3q-qDy59nKZ9RtI6NWUtTCejuhO64qa0Qmg7i5vsH-YwVDvoBNZQTNxZPwtHW2sn7EugC/s2048/IMG20210102181331.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNWBPhhAZFHzI6iypsZf6h3e6X7gG3xaTWJI0fy03vZS3bQNrLvGFhUDj9hi7xeINXg-6Kk1M3q-qDy59nKZ9RtI6NWUtTCejuhO64qa0Qmg7i5vsH-YwVDvoBNZQTNxZPwtHW2sn7EugC/w400-h300/IMG20210102181331.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Amongst other things, 2020 is the first year since I started my blog that I didn't write a single post. Having recently been to a couple of their workshops I have been really enjoying playing with hobby art stamps and clean colour pens.<br />
This is a recent attempt that I think fits nicely with the 'all things bright and beautiful' theme at <a href="http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/02/february-all-things-bright-and-beautiful.html?m=1">stamping sensations.</a>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05864008290732314893noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7095469492803503478.post-24608911065096311142018-09-09T04:34:00.001-07:002018-09-09T04:35:44.430-07:00Stamptember Hello!<br />
I've inadvertently taken a very long break from blogging but I know that the next few weeks and months will bring lots of card making with 'birthday season' for my family followed by all the Christmassy makes I can possibly fit in! It's 'stamptember' over at simon says stamp too, so I reckon it's a pretty good time to pick the reins back up.<br />

Today I'm showing you how to make a pop up gift card holder to make your gift that little bit more personalised.<br />
<br />
I started by slicing a strip about 5cm wide from a piece of a4 white card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0qHOoG429UclXW_dL9vsioU7yxHLkU5zF2UwZVVJ0cA1SkKWr9NASD9O6v1nsUbpir5wCVBm25nWyY_3bBLfTsT8tVUmr588LiauTLxhjgX1UKezPZq5bwdrkIbLgBXM3aW_F6xF6BIYX/s1600/IMG_20171021_215917.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0qHOoG429UclXW_dL9vsioU7yxHLkU5zF2UwZVVJ0cA1SkKWr9NASD9O6v1nsUbpir5wCVBm25nWyY_3bBLfTsT8tVUmr588LiauTLxhjgX1UKezPZq5bwdrkIbLgBXM3aW_F6xF6BIYX/s320/IMG_20171021_215917.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Setting aside the strip for later, I folded the larger piece in half. I then measured 4.5cm from the fold, scored lightly and folded along the score line. Turning the card over, I repeated on the other side. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWaMt7jAvh7wrPlMZzFcobDi_Vp30SjWmIO6BC2N1VGXelvk_t_tygHAY5DSMWRtXf79AIfwZgkDcIWQp-jHl51t6wfp0YgAFQyHaBvymVFygh0BluaUFrEba67aV22Wq137eXuEx3QaiQ/s1600/IMG_20171021_220305.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWaMt7jAvh7wrPlMZzFcobDi_Vp30SjWmIO6BC2N1VGXelvk_t_tygHAY5DSMWRtXf79AIfwZgkDcIWQp-jHl51t6wfp0YgAFQyHaBvymVFygh0BluaUFrEba67aV22Wq137eXuEx3QaiQ/s320/IMG_20171021_220305.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This left me with this set up</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvvZc7lXol-pv2nFaeNN-keMEtZATqRTOVpZpJfL6A715vFQtF2EjG1-qQ6XFTctjcxZobPPJa2GRqnYVFgbmL-cZqmEJrPgU_zCzGtnWgXrg5udSbfmsQzcF7-zCkKR3gMYgKYRQI2K6/s1600/IMG_20171021_220318.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvvZc7lXol-pv2nFaeNN-keMEtZATqRTOVpZpJfL6A715vFQtF2EjG1-qQ6XFTctjcxZobPPJa2GRqnYVFgbmL-cZqmEJrPgU_zCzGtnWgXrg5udSbfmsQzcF7-zCkKR3gMYgKYRQI2K6/s320/IMG_20171021_220318.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a gift card as a size guide,I cut a slit in the centre fold to slot it in.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs-UwIhMa2Y29dPxwpVGTve9fnKlwQaC8PItLlbSZK7GeLoaAkrQQ6NvIUDaoUZ0tmRosvEpHP3hz2DWS2E-9tc2yNScA-grYOZn5Ffslt9beWnrRcB7R2olQfQAARhcO2mXhAg704KjdI/s1600/IMG_20171022_134503.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs-UwIhMa2Y29dPxwpVGTve9fnKlwQaC8PItLlbSZK7GeLoaAkrQQ6NvIUDaoUZ0tmRosvEpHP3hz2DWS2E-9tc2yNScA-grYOZn5Ffslt9beWnrRcB7R2olQfQAARhcO2mXhAg704KjdI/s320/IMG_20171022_134503.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I painted the outside of the card in jade fresco paint and the inside with Antarctic paint. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used JOFY stamps to decorate and painted with white fire paint.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbaKUkYuT4MpPsJryASWB1MF1ChL6wCtEGJokUpe5rK0VSwut8BI7Iehp_hk1m9NvB7M388S-31mNIkIjQkJu-S3y3rJRjqYmZRDfiAUYCDzYhjqbnPMP177IRI9hEQO7jYseXLFr55Uuj/s1600/IMG_20171022_145412.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbaKUkYuT4MpPsJryASWB1MF1ChL6wCtEGJokUpe5rK0VSwut8BI7Iehp_hk1m9NvB7M388S-31mNIkIjQkJu-S3y3rJRjqYmZRDfiAUYCDzYhjqbnPMP177IRI9hEQO7jYseXLFr55Uuj/s320/IMG_20171022_145412.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I taped the folds to create the pop up middle section</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the JOFY mini snowflakes stamp to decorate the inside of the card and painted a panel that could be written on.</div>

Well here we are, the final<a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas_11.html?m=1"> funkie junkie 'tag' of 2017</a>, and what a lot of fun I've had along the way. It is so good to be given fresh inspiration and styles to try each week, I definitely plan to join in again next year. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For Linda's final tag of the year she was inspired by the bits and pieces left lying around on her craft desk. I contemplated including a picture of my craft space here, but I decided I was too embarrassed! There are lots of bits and pieces lying around but I thought I would just show you the card that I made with them instead. </div>

I had a piece of this gorgeous basic grey paper mounted to a card blank from about two years ago. I liked it so much I didn't want to cover over any of the pattern and so it stayed half finished til now! I added some of the leftover holly coated in glossy accents, stamped the retro Christmas greeting on to some more paper and mounted on to an off cut. I finished with a few dots of liquid pearl for holly berries et voila, #12 was done 🙂<br />

I'm sharing no 11 in the <a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas_20.html?m=1">12 tags of Christmas</a> series today, getting so close to the end now! It's been so much fun joining in each week, even if I did start rather late!<br />

<span id="goog_1981319088"></span><br />
Throughout the 12 tags I have been focused mostly on processes used. I started with dry brushed gesso, then stencilled a little bauble stencil over the top. I stamped greenery stamps top and bottom using archival ink and blended some gilding wax around the outer edge of the tag.<br />
<br />
<br />
My band for the middle of the tag was cut from scraps of a gorgeous basic grey scrapbook paper. I decided to stamp the focal point message on to vellum, partly because I still had some on my desk from the last project and partly because I wanted to see more of the paper underneath! I finished with a little retro deer brad and some frayed burlap.<br />

Take care,<br />

<span id="goog_1981319088"></span><br />
Throughout the 12 tags I have been focused mostly on processes used and this was no exception. I started with dry brushed gesso, blended over distress ink and then partially stamped a bo bunny stamp.<br />
I didn't have any glitter paste but I have grunge paste and I have glitter... The glitter didn't stick as well as I had hoped to the wet grunge paste so once it was dry I ruined the tips with folding wax instead.<br />
I want really sure what to place as the focal point, I had originally thought snowflakes but I really liked the wreath in Linda's tag and felt it would work Errol with the background. Mine is created using two nesting circle dies inside each other, topped with a bow.<br />
The banner is made using gold embossing on the text and blended with di.<br />

Not long to go now, Happy Christmas eve everyone!Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05864008290732314893noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7095469492803503478.post-41757878191003146072017-12-23T14:00:00.000-08:002017-12-23T14:00:18.370-08:00Funkie Junkie #9This has to be my favourite of all the <a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas_20.html?m=1">12 tags of Christmas</a> projects, I'm smitten with anything that has a deer on it and I just love the snowfall and the deep blue background.<br />
Unfortunately I didn't have quite the right colours to create that lovely deep blue, so have had to settle for something a little lighter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWvJyIJy0yWWJjkoZAJuIuijj5qMWBD9Fe_-Z0xCJ7to2sZvvicxQgKpiXW77pLPAPXde4I6TQLDb4-dWLOzIXnsK7QIhVDjo7VW3lEjm4w1j91ujvRhPQk7xEDrSOm_H1nO41DDjBAe6B/s1600/IMG_20171223_215243.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1201" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWvJyIJy0yWWJjkoZAJuIuijj5qMWBD9Fe_-Z0xCJ7to2sZvvicxQgKpiXW77pLPAPXde4I6TQLDb4-dWLOzIXnsK7QIhVDjo7VW3lEjm4w1j91ujvRhPQk7xEDrSOm_H1nO41DDjBAe6B/s640/IMG_20171223_215243.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I created the background in the same way Linda describes in her post, and to avoid any possible pink problems I used chunky white embossing enamel to create the snow.<br />
<br />
I chose to use vellum die the white greenery and also to stamp the greeting. The deer is an impression obsession die, I cut two layers then coated then in cosmic shimmer ultra thick embossing enamel.<br />
<br />
Hope you like it!<br />

My craft space has reached that pre Christmas crafting stage now where there is more stuff on top of it than there is desk underneath it, but I am just about still managing to find everything!<br />
<br />
Here is tag no. 8 in the <a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas_13.html?m=1">funkie junkie 12 tags of Christmas</a> and as per the previous weeks I have been mostly focused on using the techniques done by Linda.<br />

I created the background in the same way that Linda's was done, first using distress oxides, then am embossing folder and typed off with dry brushed gesso which I really liked for creating a frosty effect. I then choose to use wink of Stella rather than wax as I wanted a nice shimmer.<br />
<br />
The embossing folder I had was actually of flowers rather than snowflakes but I think with enough of a blue and white frosty look, it gives the right effect. I also managed to accidentally put the paper in the wrong way round so I have an inverted embossed card. Again, I decided it didn't really matter.<br />
<br />
Now running rather short on time, I finished the card using a spare poinsettia created in case for #7, mounted on to a couple of die cut snowflakes that were hanging around on my desk. I added just a hint of pink distress oxide to the banner and finished off with a few stars.<br />
If I get an opportunity I would like to go back and add a sentiment on vellum, so you may see am update on this at some point!<br />
<br />
That's all for now. <br />
These ones come from a set called 'U R the gift.' I stamped them on four separate squares of card and coloured then with inktense pencils. If you haven't come across inktense before, you add water to them for a watercolour effect but they retain their lovely bright colours.<br />
<br />

Well here I am with number 7 in <a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas.html?m=1">the 12 tags of Christmas funkie junkie challenge</a>, sponsored by the <a href="https://m.thefunkiejunkie.com/">funkie junkie boutique.</a><br />
I really loved the non traditional colours on Linda's tag for this week but also wanted to look at the processes she used.<br />
<br />
Here is the card I made;<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg287p1j9E6eZkX3ioim5YL4UWEP5savBCZ8bgSELDQ5NV2AH6Z-bfpe4jQ8pRmF53MHV7dJ62FFyVOLTkbc3TJO_zb-VcWxa-kh9v30igZi0hoLC3iCnIQKkLjkNUyK1hZeKRHPor2ZoRh/s640/IMG_20171216_213720.jpg" width="480" /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I loved her plaid background but didn't have anything suitable that I could replicate it with. Instead I followed her lead using distress inks and stencilling in blues and greens. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had a small ornate die that I used to create a frame, I cut it out twice and trimmed the frills off one to get the central oval. The frame is embossed with sparkle embossing powder and the centre is coated in distress ink. I used more distress ink to dye a piece of cotton and assembled the whole thing with the addition of the die cuts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Alongside the funkie junkie challenge, I would also like to enter <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/">Simon says stamp Monday Christmas/ winter challenge</a>.</div>

I'm steadily catching up with the <a href="http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/2017-challenge-12-tags-of-christmas_30.html?m=1">funkie junkie 12 tags of Christmas -</a> this is no.6!<br />

I thought I had so many craft supplies it would be impossible to ever run out of anything but it seems I have run out of bright red card! Instead I found this maroon ish colour. I used Linda's idea of showing the negative space behind the snowflake dies and finished then off with a for of liquid pearl.<br />
