Well here I am with number 7 in the 12 tags of Christmas funkie junkie challenge, sponsored by the funkie junkie boutique.
I really loved the non traditional colours on Linda's tag for this week but also wanted to look at the processes she used.
Here is the card I made;

I loved her plaid background but didn't have anything suitable that I could replicate it with. Instead I followed her lead using distress inks and stencilling in blues and greens.
I had a small ornate die that I used to create a frame, I cut it out twice and trimmed the frills off one to get the central oval. The frame is embossed with sparkle embossing powder and the centre is coated in distress ink. I used more distress ink to dye a piece of cotton and assembled the whole thing with the addition of the die cuts.
Alongside the funkie junkie challenge, I would also like to enter Simon says stamp Monday Christmas/ winter challenge.
